Finally we man... read more We'd tried going to this bar-restaurant for pintxos and breakfast but we kept going past when it was closed (it was probably Sunday or something! Finally we managed to coincide with it being open for lunch and it was very good. We had the menu del dia. We were passed on to a young waiter who spoke English so we managed to understand what we were ordering. It was good, hearty food.

We went Thursday lunchtime for menu del dia 13.50€ pp service was very friendly, and the food was tremendous we both had cauliflower and bacon (very tasty), followed by anchovies for me and carne for my partner, well cooked, very tasty and we both finished with home made rice pudding again brilliant. Previous chef must have moved on or not on duty, place was packed by 2.00 pm but we were not rushed, brilliant.

My mother order... read more I went there after reading Trip Advisor reviews, 2 guide books and 2 personal recommendations. So you can imagine how big was my disappointment. My mother ordered a steak, and the meat was very poor quality, full of fat and silver skin. My dish (veal tongue) was quite tasty. However, both dishes were just very salty. I presume the chef salted everything, since there was no salt available on the table. I really doubt any locals would be eating there, considering the very poor food quality and the exorbitant prices.

If you want steak and chips go somewhere else. We had the most beautiful hake and cod delicious... Thanks so much for the lovely experience

My friend orderd f... read more Based on photo's and reviews we went to this bar/restaurant. I ordered an entrecote: it was not prepared as I asked and the taste was poorly. My friend orderd fish with a typical spanish sauce but it was bit a small portion without potatoes or vegetables. It was definitly not like on the pictures. Of course we don't speak spanish and we had a hard time in spain to make clear to everyone what we want to eat or drink. But it would be more friendly if they said us that for example the fish isn't combined with vegetables and potatoes, so that you have to order this apart. And if that's the case, well than they ask too much money for only a fish with a bit of sauce, or an tastless entrecote with several french fries without vegetables.
