We stayed at this very nice hotel for t... read more Even though this restaurant is mostly there to service Barcelo Nervion Hotel guests, it’s quality well deserves a visit. We stayed at this very nice hotel for three days and were able to enjoy this restaurant in three opportunities. We always asked for the fix price menu. Three choices each for starters, main dish and desert. We were always more than pleasantly surprised!! All these for such a reasonable price and with excellent service and care. Try it, I am sure you will not be disappointed

We started out with a few pickled vegetables that were the gift of the house. that and the wine were the best parts of the meal. The first course of sauteed mushrooms was so greasy that I could not finish it. The oxtail stew consisted of a bit of beef in a thick gravy, more like pot roast than oxtail stew, The cafeteria at the University of Botswana makes a much better oxtail stew. And the chocolate mousse was just a sweet nothing with no particular chocolate taste.

The meal started with the best Gazpacho I've ever tasted but the rest of the meal was good, but not wonderful. I had pork that was very tender and would have been wonderful in a burrito but was kind of bland on it's own. My husband had the Hake and didn't care for it much. We ate the prix fix menu which give you a choice from three offerings in each of three courses. The cost is extremely reasonable. If you are near the restaurant when it's time to eat you'll have a good meal.

Our visit was afflicted with back to back rainy days and after roaming around the lovely city all wet to bones, we found a dry refuge at the hotel. So, instead of exploring the town for haute local cuisine we indulged dinners in the hotel's restaurant. We usually avoid this. The place serves in the morning delicious and attractive breakfasts. The style is a blend of universal and local kitchen. The service is very nice and attentive and the food is also very good.
