One of the best restaurants with breakfast in Bilbao, the tortilla with local ham and local cheese was great, mini sandwiches with local ham and peppers was great too, and churros were the best churros i have ever eaten
Had a really great Pintxos lunch here, the cod tasted fantastic and the espresso was great. The host worked hard to make sure I understood what he was saying (in Spanish) and even taught me a couple of new words. Really would recommend.
English Spoken : Limited, but communication was good. Friendly. Feeling of Welcome : Very Welcome Ambience : Nice little cosy bar. Service: Even though there isn't a lot of English spoken, the owner makes it work. He was friendly and efficient, juggling the large multitude of people coming in wanting their fix of coffee and people who wanted something to eat. You could feel a genuine warmth from someone who seems to enjoy what he does. Location : Inside the old town. Food : Churros were fine. Perhaps not the best hot chocolate I have had, but the coffee. Oh my the coffee one of the best in Bilbao in our opinion. The tortilla de patatas was excellent oozy and not too eggy. Bocadillo de lomo was great too. Value for Money : Cheap! Hot Tip: As mentioned, the coffee was some of the best in Bilbao. Have a cortado or a café con leche and it still is nice and strong.
