has our son for his b-day loves the place. eating is good, moderately expensive. hibachi seats are always fun children of the wild west of the restaurants. service was good and came with all usual b’day hoopla. a bit of a sketchy thing that goes off on the parking lot, which had a restless drama, but apart from the active scene a pretty funny evening. What User doesn't like about Kobe Japanese Grill:
we were so excited to bring our children here for the first time today. we have been going to south portland kobe for years, but tonight in biddeford was so disappointing. that was terrible. we don't come or can afford to go a lot and we're so sad. the waitress was great so that at least that was there. The food was top notch. Service was excellent. The sushi was amazing!! Next time I am there I will probably get sushi only cause I am that obsessed. Thank you for being so nice and having amazing food.Food: 5/5
Brought the wife for her birthday and everything was absolutely amazing. Food was so good I got two more orders to go. If you like coconut then I highly suggest the coconut chicken or shrimp. This place is the real deal for a eat in option for couples or the family. Keep It up Kobe!Kid-friendliness: It's straight up fun for the Fam.
Bad service. Bad food. Poor value.Potential health risk for people with dietary restrictions.First time trying this chain and definitely the last time. The sushi is passable, but it was vegetarian so less can go wrong.I asked for stir fry whatever it was (kobe garden? without the sauce but the server and kitchen didn't listen half way through I realized it did have the sauce which I try to avoid for dietary reasons (nothing medical . Thanks! The actuall quality of the steak was sub par a very poor cut that was softened with a tenderizer. Basically fast food quality at restaurant prices.
Good location for some quick sushi, the food was okay, I ordered the King Kong sushi, this was good.I also got the Rib Eye Steak Shrimp with rice and vegetables, for the price this was great! I ordered medium rare and they delivered, only issue was the steak no seasoning, the sauce was top notch but the steak needs to be seasoned for my personal taste. Also the miso soup was packed with flavor.I'll be back to try more dishes.
It was our first time at this location and our server Cam was exceptional! Overall, the food was amazing. The miso soup was very flavorful. We ordered the surf and turf sushi roll, which was massive! My husband had chicken katsu (platter) and he said it was cooked perfectly and reminded him of his time in S. Korea. The fried rice wasn't packing with flavor, but nothing a little soy sauce or a bite of the main course can't fix. The lighting above our table was a bit dim, making it a little difficult to read our menus. We still enjoyed our time out and can't wait to come back!
