Visited with 8 friends for a traditional Indian meal. The place is not so clean and not so beautiful, but the food is amazing. We tried several different things and all was great. Also everything was served together and in a reasonable time. If you look for an Indian food, highly recommended. View all feedback.

Unfortunately I don't agree with the existing reviews for this restaurant. We ate two paneer dishes and the standard was the same as any regular tourist restaurant, except for the soft chapatis which were excellent. We regularly eat from street vendors and don't mind a bit of grubbiness, but this place was unclean. A wash of the table cloths and wipe of the chairs wouldn't go amiss. View all feedback.
My husband and me are realy fed up with oily and fat food. Fortunately we do have our friend Pintu from Malabar Restaurant. He knows how to steam vegetable food with just a spoonfull oil mixed with Masala for the taste and health. Your stomac and digestion will be gratefull and you yourself will be joyfull.Ask for Pintu and we are shure that he will steam a delicious, light meal for you. If you are lucky and Pintu is having a little time for talking, you will discover that he is speaking English and Tibetan fluently and has an open, friendly mind. He is an interesting far traveled man visiting France, England, Germany and Switzerland.
This restaurant is very famous there, There foods is very yammm. we are very happy to there food. all types of food is available there.
I spent 2 years in and out of Dharamsala in the mid 90s- and was disappointed to see last week how much things have changed- and not for the best. My favourite place to eat in those days was Malabar - so i was really delighted to find it still around, tucked in amongst the chaos. Don't be put off by the decor- it could do with a facelift- but if it's really delicious Indian food you want, this is still the best!!Pintu is a genial and knowledgeable host- and the atmosphere very homely. The meals we had were as good as anything we had in the 5 star hotel in Delhi, and superb value. We only wish we could have stayed more days to eat here again!.
We had orderd chicken soup and fried rice. Worst hotel, food was uncooked. Plates and spoon were dirty. Would never recommend to anybody.
