A cosy restaurant run by a tibetian family, they put their soul into preparing the food. The quantity is more than sufficent for an average eater. You get authentic Tibetan cuisine here. A must try if you are looking for the above and also want to spend some peaceful time away from the crowd in Mcleod.
We were recommended this place for authentic Tibetan food unfortunately the teenagers sprawled across the chairs watching American tv on their devices loudly (they were the owners kids? and the total disinterest in us as customers should have been a warning to turn round and leave. We ordered the egg thenthuk soup that had barely any veggies, and the soul was severely lacking flavour with overcooked noodles. We also ordered veggie and cheese momo’s that were overcooked and fairly tasteless certainly not a patch on the Tibetan cafe in Darjeeling same food ordered at both places but the Peace Cafe was extremely disappointing dampener on our McLeodGang visit.
This restaurant is still the top spot for delicious fresh momos and chow mein. It's a charming family-run establishment that I've been visiting since 2017. The vegetarian options are fantastic, so make sure not to overlook this gem of a place.
