What Trippadvice dislikes about Bogdo Cafe:
The staff is unfocused, does not come to take the order and even ignores the customers. They have different coffee’s on the menu but sometimes they don’t know how to make a cappuccino, so they say they don’t have it. I ordered a salad once and there was hair in it. There are flies everywhere. Much overpriced. The wifi often doesn’t work. View all feedback.

This restaurant has a lovely outdoor deck with a view of the snow-capped mountains, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea with stunning scenery. We tried the hot chocolate and lemon ginger tea, both of which were delicious. Among the cafes in McLeod with hill views, this is a standout option.
Coffee is amazing, as was expected. The cafe is very peaceful and away from the market. Coming back to the market is a bit steep though.
We went to this cafe for breakfast and ordered a vegetable omelette and a cheese omelette. However, no bread was included with our meal. One downside was that when we ordered bread on the side, we were charged an additional 60Rs for two portions, and no butter was provided. Another negative aspect was that after finishing our meal, we had to wait for the bill as foreigners were served first, which felt like a form of discrimination. The cafe does have a nice mountain view, but there are plenty of other dining options nearby.
While this restaurant offers a variety of items, it is highly recommended for enjoying a coffee accompanied by a freshly baked savory or sweet treat.
This place scores well partly because it has a nice sit out and partly because of the nice hot coffee it serves. Service and menu is limited but that's how a coffee shop is supposed to be. If you enjoy a good cuppa and like to spend time reading or just relaxing in front of the view, go for this place. Also food service is limited to few hours in the day so don't go too late in the evening as then you would get coffee or tea only.. Cold beverages aren't particularly exciting but one may try nonetheless.. Value for money is pretty good. A coffee and pan cake would cost around 200..

Dry Manchurian was other-worldly. This place offers best views in the whole city and has a wide range to choose from. They play good music and overall vibe is excellent. Visited thrice during my stay and will come back again.
Nice menu for the breakfast and do try thr drinks they are really worth the price. Amazing view from the outdoor seating area.
We were staying at Bogdo House and had a chance to have a couple of meals here. The Tibetian food preparation for dinner for good not spicy and large helpings. The service was quick and attentive both times. The option to sit out and enjoy the views whilst enjoying your coffee is unbeatable.Overall I would give a high recommendation for the couple running the place and staff there.
We were randomly looking for a hotel to stay for the night, and ended up staying in bogdo. The owner was very helpful, rooms were clean and private. The view from rooftop was amazing. We had breakfast from the inhouse cafe, which was worth it. When it comes to the highlight of the trip, in terms of food, Bogdo Cafe actually scores hands-down over other cafes in Mcleod Ganj. The place serves extremely delectable food and a menu you would love to get your hands on everything. Be it the tasty waffles, pan-cakes, olive and cheese sandwiches, thukpas, momos or omelettes, this place has got everything to satiate your hunger. And do not miss on their lip-smacking juices, tea and smoothies. The ambience is really good and you get great views of the Dhauladhar Range. The staff is really nice and warm and yes, they do play nice music! Worth every penny spent.
