Kuhn Bacherei Cafe - Bezirk Affoltern

From Zurich Central Station (S24) to Leimbach or Bus #70 from Morgental to Frymannstrasse directly to the café. Kuhn has an exceptional selection of bread, pastries, cakes, snacks, chocolates, hot/cold drinks and more. Another great advantage of this place...is its massive and spacious sidewalk seating area and the magnificent view of the mountains in the background. The staff is usually friendly, all COVID-19 procedures implemented and the location is set in a quiet neighborhood from the city center.

This has recently opened and I decided to go there as I had to go to the post office and this new place is a few meters away. I have to admit that I didn't look at the prices before I ordered. I ordered a coffee, a burger and a strawberry cake. To my horror I got the bill and it was really over the top even for Zurich. The burger at 10 CHF was just about, no big shakes except the price, 4.40 CHF for a coffee in the outskirts of Zurich, usually expect to pay 4 CHF as it is in the other two cafes in the area and finally add to injuries 3.90 CHF for a strawberry cake. Total CHF 18.30. I'm not going back there. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes more than a few months. The location does not guarantee these prices and I can go a few hours on the street to the garage and get a coffee for 3,50 CHF and a burger for 6 CHF. The service was just there, nothing special. I passed it again today when I had to go to the post office, but I won't stop it soon.

This coffee has opened for a few months. the prices are in the average city of zurigo but the card has intrigued me. I ordered a summer salad: lollo, cherry tomatoes, hot strawberries, roasted seeds and hot chicken strips. the dish looks well decorated, and the chicken was more than abundant. it would also be enough to order a small portion. the staff is very kind and the warm environment, furnished in the style of Toggenburg. The interior as the terrace, are very spacious.
