Mixed reviews: Zingara shines for cocktails, DJs and a party atmosphere, but guests note inconsistent food, small mains, loud music and occasional door-staff issues.

I've been here both to eat and just to have a drink.

Had a very unpleasant experience at here last night. I was simply standing at the entrance, waiting a friend, when the security guard started shouting at me, saying “either go inside or go out” in a very aggressive tone. I completely understand that every venue has its own rules, and I was not breaking any of them — I was just quietly waiting. Later, my friend arrived and was also been shouted at. I genuinely don’t understand why two large male security guards felt the need to yell at a woman who was doing nothing wrong. The entire experience makes me feeling extremely uncomfortable. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place based on how poorly they treat people at the door. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

More information

Locals treat Zingara as a venue that can flip from dinner spot to full-on party in a single evening — groups that come for a meal often end up staying for DJs and the dancefloor, so reserved tables are frequently combined with late-night covers and bottle service to keep the party rolling.
