Pear Tree serves perfectly cooked steaks in a fantastic atmosphere. We recommend sitting at the bar, enjoying a drink, and savoring one of the best steaks you'll find anywhere. That's exactly what we did!

The salad was enjoyable, but the French dressing was the highlight, featuring a lovely spicy kick that I really appreciated. The salad also includes crumbled feta cheese that you can add to your liking. For my main course, I chose their signature dish, which allows you to select either a 6 oz Filet Mignon or an 8 oz Prime Rib, along with a batter-dipped lobster tail. There’s a nice variety of sides to choose from, and I went with the Filet Mignon cooked medium rare and garlic mashed potatoes. The filet was cooked to perfection—definitely a recommendation for anyone ordering steak at the Pear Tree, as everyone at our table who chose a beef dish was very pleased. The garlic mashed potatoes were also a hit. My only critique is regarding the batter-dipped lobster tail. I thought it sounded like a delicious option, but the coating was quite thick, which affected the texture. I ended up scraping most of the batter off to enjoy the lobster meat, which was tasty, but it made for a bit of a hassle. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling through central Missouri.

The steak literally melts in your mouth! Everything is good here from the salad and homemade croutons and blue cheese dressing to the extensive wine list and amazing desserts! The service is impeccable with owners greeting you and staff meeting your every need. Always my husband and my favorite restaurant .
