A recent review of a restaurant in Franconia has left patrons with mixed feelings about their dining experiences. One review indicated that the food was subpar, with issues such as a lack of freshness in the lobster and inedible noodle bowl and bean cake. On the flip side, another diner noted that the food was excellent, particularly highlighting a delicious wild mushroom soup and vegetable quiche. The atmosphere of the restaurant was praised by multiple patrons, with mentions of a cozy and inviting space, great ambience, and accommodating staff. Despite some inconsistencies in service, such as providing an alcoholic drink to a pregnant diner, overall, the restaurant seemed to leave a positive impression on most visitors, with many expressing plans to return for another meal. The average price per person ranged from $30 to $100.

The food at this restaurant is wonderful! The service is top-notch, and we dined in for dinner. The price per person ranges between $30–50. We rated the food and service a 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 4. We highly recommend trying the Black Bean Cake.
Finding a good, atmospheric restaurant in or around Franconia is like finding gold dust. There was a mix up on the time of the reservation but the staff juggled the tables to overcome the problem. The service was efficient and friendly (you can't take that for granted in these parts! , the food excellent and the ambience convivial. Couldn't recommend highly enough. We were so amazed by our experience at the Cold Mountain Cafe. The gourmet home cooked meal was delicious! I had the Turkey Shakshuka which was so good and my wife had their pasta with local wild mushrooms. The owner and staff were warm and endearing. Also they are only open 3 days a week when other restaurants are closed.
Easily overlooked, smaller restaurant on a busy street but what a find! Quiet and cozy, with friendly, efficient service, and wonderful, local and seasonal food and drinks. A hot summer day outside? Daily special was a watermellon margarita and cold gazpacho soup! I could go on and on about the menu, but you're better off looking at it yourself and ordering up a variety. If I am ever within an hour of this place I will be back!
