I visited this restaurant during New Year's and was excited due to the positive reviews I had read. However, the $95 per person meal ended up costing an additional $40 in gratuity and tax, making me question if it was worth more than $30. While the portion sizes were generous, the four courses were nothing to rave about. The appetizer was a chicken salad with boiled meat pieces, the beef and cauliflower soup arrived lukewarm, the entree was an overcooked broccoli steak with bland steamed fries, and the dessert was a strawberry smoothie that did not feel like a proper dessert. The menu was prix fixe and there was no option to choose how I wanted my steak cooked. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. It seems like they may have had a different chef on New Year's Day and I hope they can improve in the future.
I dined at this restaurant during the New Year's celebration, fueled by high hopes from glowing reviews. Sadly, the $95 per person meal (plus an extra $40 for gratuity and tax) fell short of expectations. I would have valued it at no more than $30. While the portion sizes were generous, the four courses were lackluster. The appetizer featured a chicken salad with flavorless meat, the beef and cauliflower soup was served lukewarm, the main course was an overcooked broccoli steak accompanied by bland steamed vegetables and fries, and the dessert was a strawberry smoothie that didn’t feel like a true dessert. Since the meal was prix fixe, they didn’t even ask how I preferred my steak cooked. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I also have a feeling that the regular chef might not have been on duty that night since it was New Year's Day. I hope they can improve in the future.
I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant on New Year's, especially after reading all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to discover that the $95 per person prix fixe meal, plus an additional $40 for gratuity and tax, felt very much overpriced. I would have anticipated something more akin to a $30 meal. Although the portion sizes were generous, the overall experience for the 4-course meal fell flat. The chicken salad appetizer featured overcooked chicken, the beef cauliflower soup was served lukewarm, the entree consisted of an overcooked steak accompanied by bland, steamed frozen broccoli and fries, and the dessert was an uninspiring strawberry smoothie. Moreover, we weren't even asked how we preferred our steak cooked. Given all this, I wouldn't recommend this place. It seemed as though the regular chef may not have been working that night, possibly due to it being New Year's Day. I sincerely hope they can make improvements in the future.
