This place has the very best pizza in the capital area. I have been searching for the most authentic Margherita pizza and Marino's flying pizza came close but the Marisa Pizza is my absolute favorite. The only problem is they are so busy that you have plan way ahead of time if you want to get pizza from here View all feedback.
Here we go again, trying a new pizza restaurant while traveling in New York state. They do have a nice menu with a variety of appetizers and mains, not just pizza. But the majority of patrons had pizza. They have preset and build your own with a large number of available toppings. We just had a build your own with mushrooms and pepperoni. The crust was excellent. Cooked to perfection, and it had a great undercarriage that held up perfectly. The sauce was super tomato tasting but a bit bland for this reviewer. When I added chili, oregano, and extra parmesan cheese, it helped a bit. There was an ample amount of pepperoni and mushrooms, but the pepperoni was also a bit bland. The atmosphere was nicer than expected. The service, considering there was only one waitress, was very slow but courteous. Apparently, it takes an hour to make a pizza. What? That's crazy. I guess they want you to order an appetizer to fill the space. All in all, it was ok. Unless you are in the area and need to eat, don't make a special trip.
Tasty pizza! Great service. My family and I really enjoyed the pizzas, so I’m super happy! Also ordered garlic knots (never had them before with delicious sauce. Everything was fresh and hot and appetizing. Amazing picnic on a sunny summer date:
I had some of the best eggplant rollatini that I have had in a very long time. The service was amazing. It was one young woman for the bar and the dining room and she was on top of everything.
Pizza was good got a Marissa pizza not the best but also got sausage mushrooms and had a lot of toppings
I love NYC style pizza and unfortunately not too many pizzerias in the capital district fit the NYC style or quality, that 's until I found MARISA 's. Over the years I 've heard people say you should try this pizza or that pizza and when I do I 'm like nope its not NYC standard and is usually just average. SO I 've heard a LOT of talk about Marisa 's. Me, my husband and kids decided to go and have dinner there one night to see what the hype is about and to my SURPRISE they lived up to the hype. Pizza was fresh, the sauce to cheese ratio was PERFECT. The crust was nice and thin with a little crisp. We also ordered wings which were really good. I had a house salad that was really yummy. My daughters had dessert (chocolate mousse cake) which they loved. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The place is not really big BUT it is clean. I 'll definitely eat here again. Hands down some of the best pizzas I 've eaten in upstate NY.
