Suma Restaurant Bar - Bethesda

Great new addition to the neighborhood! We only sat at the bar and had drinks and bar bites that were excellent. The new owners have significantly improved the beer list, including a modest list of mostly local, Maryland craft brews and an extensive bottle menu.

This place was amazing! I was really impressed. We had the octopus appetizer; duck, lamb, and tuna main courses; and the chocolate brownie dessert. Everything was wonderful and the service was great. Look forward to going back. They had music out on the patio as well. The whole place is very nicely decorated.

The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was cozy. I tried both the salmon and the halibut, and I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. The heirloom beet salad and the strawberry-banana bread pudding were absolutely amazing! They also have a fantastic selection of beers. This new restaurant is off to a superb start. I've visited a few times already and will definitely return.

The staff is wonderful, the cocktails are excellent, and there's a great variety of wines available. The beer selection is always rotating, offering top-notch options. I visited for both dinner and brunch, and the food was outstanding on both occasions. If you have the opportunity to make your own drinks, it's a fantastic experience. The chef is very accommodating when it comes to replacing items for food allergies.

Expensive, but the food is great. They have a nice selection of rotating beers and a good wine list. The service is excellent, and in my view, they offer the best outdoor dining space in Bethesda. The patio is really inviting and comfortable, making it feel like a year-round option. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks.
