Great good, good prices. Always have enough to take home half your meal. Favorites are chicken pizziola and shrimp parmigiana. Zucchini and mozzarella sticks are also delicious! Friendly staff too. View all feedback.
What JNC-CT-RI doesn't like about Augies 1 Italian And Pizzeria:
Wife got the eggplant and thought it was average i got the chicken parmigiana, the chicken was so thin it was dried out. Generous portion but didn’t enjoy it. Lots of ziti but again just ok. On 1 waitress who was working hard 3 stars at best View all feedback.
It's very disappointing to report that this restaurant has permanently closed. I stopped by today and saw paper on the windows, and the phone number is no longer connected—it now leads to a disconnected line. The website is also down. My family and I loved dining here, and I have numerous gift certificates that are now useless. It's frustrating, and I wish there was something I could do. Moving forward, I don't think I'll purchase gift cards for any non-chain restaurants or stores again. I'm not sure what happened, and it's hard to understand, but it's clear that the restaurant is shut down for good. I can only hope there will be news soon about the situation, or even the possibility of another good Italian restaurant taking its place, or that someone might buy the location.
I had to go back inside to get a receipt for my refund, which seemed to upset the staff. One employee became quite disrespectful and obnoxious, even following me to the door as if she wanted to start an argument. I warned her that if she continued to follow me, I'd call the police. I will never return to this restaurant again. They clearly don't know how to treat their customers, and their staff is unprofessional and rude.
I can't believe they charge $13 for just 8 pieces of ravioli. The delivery container looks like it came from leftovers.
The chicken Parmigiana grinders were awful. Thin frozen Pattie's not real cutlets. Friend ordered eggplant Parmigiana which was soggy not even breaded .
Worst meal ever! Used to love this place. The bread was stale. The meatballs were frozen (same as you get at stop shop)Asked for soup instead of salad, since we ordered a large antipasto, which was $16 and smaller than a dinner salad. The balsamic dressing (served in a small 2oz plastic cup for takeout) had a clump of moldy nastiness in it. They charged $3 for the soup that replaced the salad. Was up charged for fradiavolo sauce because I asked for it instead of marinara. Got exactly the same marinara. The whole meal was disgusting and disappointing! No love/heart/effort put into anything! They won’t be there long!Really is a shame!
