We went to Sushi Ko for my son's birthday. He has been an avid sushi eater since he was 3. We enjoyed the food thoroughly. He would rate Sushiko up there with NOBU and BondSt NYC. Sushiko was too notch in food and service. It is a great place to enjoy a special occasion. Those Brussel sprouts! Wow! Of course the omakasi sushi was outstanding. View all feedback.
What AmyK doesn't like about Sushiko Chevy Chase:
The food is consistently great but the service is like a pancake house on Sunday morning. The bring the food and try to hustle you out. A dinner of 4 friends which usually should be 90-120 minutes was rushed to 45 min. When we said we wanted to continue chatting our waitress made an odd face. View all feedback.
I know of no better Japanese cuisine restaurant in DC since the closure of Makoto. The freshness and quality of ingredientes is handled with mastery and artfulness by the chef and his team. The service was impeccable.

Had another great meal at Sushiko Chevy Chase. The fish is fresh and, particularly the specials, so creative. The staff is efficient and friendly without being intrusive. If you haven't tried it, I suggest you do.
We go to sushiko a lot. But last night was extraordinary. The chirashi special was sublime. The king salmon sashimi and nigiri was a real treat. All accompanied by a lovely dry sake and enhanced by first rate service.
Sushiko can ruin you for standard sushi. Our meal, the bento box, was terrific. We also ordered the handmade Wasabi for$9. It's a small amount and expensive but I would order it again.
