Was Brian L at Flapjack Brewery a mag?
The best pizza in town! The combination of spices and flavorful meats makes it a delightful wood-fired experience. The delivery service went above and beyond to bring my pizza. Thank you so much! View all feedback.
What To Co dislikes about Flapjack Brewery:
What happened to the danger pizza? Also the new servers lack attention to detail and to customers. Maybe it was an off day? Idk but I’ve never seen them in all the time I’ve been coming here. Pretty sad to see this place go downhill. View all feedback.
My wife and I have been Mug Club members since nearly the beginning, and we truly love this place. We genuinely hope it has a long and successful future in Berwyn. That said, this review focuses on our most recent visit. We arrived tonight (Friday) just before 6 PM, got seated promptly, and ordered our beer and pizza right away. The beers arrived quickly, but unfortunately, our pizza took nearly an hour and a half to come out. During our wait, we were offered a complimentary beer, which was a nice gesture. It was clear that they were extremely busy, as the restaurant quickly filled to capacity, and while it's great to see them thriving, I can’t help but think that if this had been our first visit, we might not have returned. We also noticed several groups who arrived only to leave shortly after because there were no available seats, and they had run out of pizza. I don’t claim to understand all the complexities of running a brewery and restaurant, but I hope they can find a way to manage peak times better in the future.
This place is a fantastic choice for homemade wood-fired pizza! I visited on a Thursday evening and found an available table right away. We started with the arugula salad, which was huge and delicious. It featured thick slices of Parmesan, pistachios, tomatoes, and a slightly sweet and tangy balsamic drizzle. I ordered the margherita pizza, while my friend opted for the pepperoni supreme. Both pizzas were excellent! The crust of the margherita was wonderfully airy and light. I did wish the bottom of the pizza was a bit less soggy, but it was still enjoyable. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, conveniently located right across from the train station. I will definitely return to try more dishes!
Great service, tasty beer. We shared the special of the day that was a white pizza with burrata, rapini and prosciutto. The crust was spot on nice and crispy with just enough of a bit softer bite at the ends. Friends got a sausage which was great as well. But don't stop at the great pizza, this is also a brewery. Was so crowded I couldn't get to the bar to take a photo of the beers, one was a vanilla, nice a light. They also had to nitro coffee stout and I had a very good Weiss beer.
Great pizza. Been coming here for a few years. However, a few things have changed. First, It is seat yourself and when it is busy there is no waiting list. It is stressful to watch to see which table will open up and grab it before someone who arrivedafter you. Second, they no longer have waiters taking your order. It is done on your phone, very impersonal.
Unpretentious and to the point; great spot for the locals to have and a nice treat for outsiders compared to the bigger establishments. The staff was warm and welcomed us with open arms. They walked us through the menu of pizzas, which we had theSupreme. The pizza was full of flavor and perfectly balanced saltiness from the sausage that went well with their veggies andcheese. I'll probably order it well done next time, my preference, cause I like the crust to be almost cracker like, but Iunderstand that is hard to do with a pizza like a supreme. Started off with a hazy beer which was fantastic and finished ournight off with their outstanding citrus IPA. We will definitely be back for some of their other pies and beers.
