Berwick Inn - Berwick (VIC)

I've been here a few times. good menu, with the exception of dessert, which had only 2 items on it, inexpensive, not excessively loud as many similar establishments. our experience was corrupted, however, by not being able to escape a cold draft coming down from the ceilings, and that despite the moving tables to what we hoped would be a better place. it was a cold evening and I would have assumed that they were heating up, but obviously not, so that it only came down cool air on our heads. We hope that we will not experience this again, as we may see in others.

It was a busy night, but that did not stop the great friendly service. also great meal times

The personal was ok, but no table service of water etc. and had to find our own table in the round. eat normal pub tariff with good senior rebates. it was a bit cold, they don't know why place feel the need to leave the air conditioning so low, came home with a sore throat.

The food was mostly terrible. The chicken schnitzel and Parma were weird, soft mushy chicken. The Parma masked it a little thanks to the stuff on top. The schnitzels were completely inedible. Do not order! The garlic prawns sauce was oily and left a coating in your mouth. The salmon was good. The cheesy garlic bread was delicious. The desserts fantastic- chocolate mousse and toblerone cheesecake- amazing! Because so much of the food was wasted, I gave a 1* for food. Some of it was good, but 3 mains were terrible. We had a baby with us and had no time to say anything or replace the meals. However it should have been good the first time anyway. The staff were lovely.

I hadn't been to the Berwick Inn for a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised. Good quality food and service. Will return for lunch again soon
