Most people would either swat it away with a newspaper or, like I would, gently take it outside since it was just a little spider. But this waitress surprised me by taking off her shoe, preparing to squash the spider on a table that diners would be using. I really doubt that table would have been cleaned properly afterward. I offered to catch it and take it outside to save the little guy, which was honestly unexpected in that situation. To top it off, they mixed up my order, but it wasn't a huge deal since I ended up getting an extra meat option for free. However, the sides were severely lacking in flavor, and it was clear that my meat had been reheated in a microwave. When I tried to pull the chicken off the bone, the bone was so hot I could barely hold it. The brisket was dry and unremarkable, and the ribs also tasted like they had come from the microwave. The sausage, however, was the highlight of the meal. I can't, in good conscience, recommend this place. I understand that maintaining fresh food can be challenging in a small town, but please, don't resort to microwaving everything.
