3 miles away from the hill city Bertinoro that starts the sharp ridge that separates the coastal plain from the foothill lies the village of Collinello, and this is one of its restaurants. The road there runs along the ridge, on and slightly up, and the restaurant overlooks the valley, probably over 20 miles wide and some 10 miles to the sea. Excellent location for a sunset dinner. Clearly not a (foreign tourist location though: the people who came in all seemed locals out for a Monday evening meal, most of them clearly known to the host. The reception of this tourist was extremely friendly though. There was no written menu, but with basics of English and Italian we managed. Simple and good cappelletti (what we could call: Bolognese for first course, then lovely meat from the oven (leg of guinea fowl, chicken breast, rabbit leg with hand cut chips (olive oil, salt and rosemary who needs vinegar, ketchup or mayo?! , amaretti semifreddo for desert was beautiful. Very affordable, added up to 25 Euros including wine, not sure they even charged for bottle of water and bread (the local piadina Romagnola .
