the kastanienbaumgarten was pleasantly cool in the fine-seating light play of the late summer midday; ideal for a Piedmontese cold meal. it was one of the finest vitello tonnato’s that I have ever enjoyed: the calf a hauch reddish, the thun-fish sauce unobtrusive, the anchovy of retaining discion. the red toskaner was ideal with the food. the service is present, attentive and very friendly. all in all a week-day high... I really liked the food and the restaurant. The staff was friendly, by bad luck we had a lady who was unfriendly, you noticed that she had little desire to do her job, which was contrary to the other people on the service team. Without a doubt I would return despite the waitress, maybe next time a more cheerful person will serve me
For me the best restaurant in Bern. The host couple and all other employees are super nice and accommodating. The needs of the guests are always taken into account and the prices are fair. The quality of the food is excellent and there is always a good wine recommendation. We recommend!
