Kaffeehaus Max - Bern

Nice place with pretty good coffee, but why do the staff have to be so unfriendly?!? We were told in a very abrupt way, “you’re only allowed to use the upstairs seats if you big your empty cups back down”. No tray provided.

Great spot that has some healthy (at least healthier options than most breakfast spots. Nice, comfortable interior (with pillows! and super friendly staff. Good coffee and bread/food is top notch/fresh.

Stumbled across this place whilst in Bern and so glad to have found it. Great little cafe with a tasty selection of cakes and coffees. Decided to head back the next day after seeing the selection of healthy bowls they have and wasn’t disappointed! Greeted with fantastic service both times within a very friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be stopping off again next time I visit Bern.

Products as always TOP! The coffee is really really good and is served in beautiful dishes. However, the service is incredibly poor or non existent. The staff seems disinterested, unmotivated, really underwhelming! Normal coffee costs 6. , is carelessly placed next to the counter and you have to clear it up yourself. I was there last time!!!

7.30 for a matcha latte to go...? 30 centimes because oat milk, so even more expensive than cow's milk. Unfortunately, the service is extremely unfriendly and that is so unpleasant and a shame. The coffee house is actually very cozy, but the service has been grumpy a few times and that unfortunately spoiled my mood a bit : .
