We celebrated my mother's birthday, so we called a few days ahead to book a round table in the corner, as we were 6 adults, 1 child and a dog. It was a Saturday afternoon, so there weren't many tables. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We had a perfect table, everyone could hear around the table. The salad was fresh, the vein zurichoise with rösti was excellent, the service was really great. And the waitress was so friendly, she offered a free ticket to the mini train to my niece. It was just a great moment, delicious food and excellent comfortable atmosphere. Thank you.

Great food, service and wine. The trio of duck was amazing. We had an amazing evening here!

Food used to be so good here, but the quality has deteriorated. One gets the impression they have new management who have decided to sell food for the same price while using inferior ingredients. I got Rösti: It was extremely mushy and they didn’t have any cheese to top it with. First restaurant in CH that claimed they had no cheese...

I’m not sure if it is a cultural difference that made my experience so horrible, but I feel like I wasted hours of my life in this restaurant. We did the 4 course fixed menu, one course being half of a cold parsnip. It was over 2 hours before our main course came out, which consisted of 2 cubes of duck breast. Not once did anyone come to check on us throughout the whole meal, and the food was nowhere near worth the price of CHF 100 per person. Save your time and money, you’ll have quicker and friendlier service in a pub.

The lack of customer service in Switzerland never fails to astonish me, and this place is not an exception. Myself and my partner coming into the restaurant at 2.15pm: Waiter: “Would you like food or drinks?” Us: “definitely drinks, but we’ll like to see the food menu as well” Waiter: “unfortunately the kitchen is closed” Us: “well then drinks” Waiter: “okay, then I have table (with absolutely no view)” Us: “well can we not have the table by the window?” Waiter: “No, we have to prepare them for dinner time (have in mind that time is only 2.15pm in the afternoon), so you can’t sit there. It’s only for customers who are eating….” What a joke!
