With my review I would like to pass on a suggestion for improvement to the kitchen: When I visited, the fries were completely covered in fat and were inedible I would be happy if you could prepare the fries in hot frying fat! Please shake off the fries properly so that the fat doesn't end up on the plate... it's best to look on Google for great instructions for fries Otherwise the steak

Very good food and not very expensive
Good restaurant, friendly and open service. At the business Christmas dinner we were able to enjoy our aperitif including various starters in the restaurant's wine cellar. I found the atmosphere very pleasant, even though it was very cold

Such a nice surprise ! Very friendly team, top-notch cuisine. My friend had « her life’s best pasta » and I discovered unexpected cooking ideas.

Some tourist book recommended me this restaurant. Unfortunately I did not order some sea food, but some calf steak. Despite the good reviews here and in the tourist book, I cannot recommend eating there something else than what they are specialized in. Not so worth the money.
OK, first of all, prices are not spanish, they are Swiss and you are in the capitol of Switzerland. But this is side-effect and did not influence my rating, because from kitchen-side, I was more like surprised, let 's say: it was a revelation. I visit in my hometown many authentic cantinas and centros run by Spanish people in their original way, but it doesn 't come close to what we ate in this restaurant; the level is very high according to freshness of seafood and the co-derived quality; let 's only focus our spaghetti marisco: from taste it was so intense and very unboring, I am not pasta-fan, but you don 't need to be, because the pasta was in sum less than the main actor seafood, so in the end I was full of fresh protein and very little carbon hydrate, nearly close to say, this was the 1st low carb spaghettis ; and with a nice 0.5 litres of navarra (the cheapest for about 26CHF) this was an amazing experience; all in all, small antipasta and salad, 2 spaghetti marisco, wine and water with tip, we spent 140CHF; but it was more than worth; it would be areason to plan a trip only because of this small cantina ....... sidekick: on another table they served PAELLA and it was not pre-ordered by the guest, but I must say, my spaghetti looked superior
A typical Spanish and Portuguese restaurant in the heart of Bern. The food is excellent and simple. The restaurant looks outdated and this is part of the ambiance. Good service, crowded place with a mix of locals and Spanish speaking community. The owner is professional and smiling. The seafood pasta is to die for!
A warm welcome and very kind reception and suggestions to accomodate our needs following recent surgery. Most accomodating and much appreciated. Food excellent, tender meat and gambas seasoned and cooked to perfection. We will be back!
To start, Rui (please forgive spelling), the owner is an incredibly friendly and patient person who wants you to enjoy his restaurant and have a great time. I made a mistake on my order and he went out of his way to make sure I still enjoyed my meal. I ended up having the best salmon I've ever had in my life. If you're not sure what to get, get the salmon.

Very cozy restaurant with super friendly staff and customers seems like a very nice community gathering place, service is amazing. The small dishes like the squid and octopus were excellent, fries are also really freshly cooked. Mains like the Paella is a bit underwhelming watery and a bit too salty, the scampi is the not the most fresh among other seafoods. A tiny bit overpriced but it’s very central so very understandable. Would be a good lunch/dinner place if you are in the center.
The atmosphere transported me to early years of 1900 of Bern old town. Simple food with excellent quality. The wine cellar is exquisite, with very rare old wines. Service is professional and friendly. I think it’s part of Bern history, and definitely an outstanding culinary experience.
We called in for dinner and we 're lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. The restaurant was really busy. Our dinner was from the simple but good section of the menu and it was exactly that. My schnitzel was good, as was the spaghetti. Mrs C enjoyed her bratwurst but would have enjoyed it even more if it wasn 't so small. A good evening.
Very good restaurant. Boasts both Portuguese and Spanish quisine. All made fresh.
Very underwhelming service. We ordered food, waited 45 minutes after which the (presumably) owner came by asked how the good had been. We told her that we hadn't had anything yet. She said it's because we ordered a rice dish which takes at least 25 minutes. Another five minutes passed, when the chef came by showed us the shrimps we ordered and took them away again. they asked me if I had ordered the daily menu. I said yes even though I hadn't because I was really hungry at that point and didn't want to wait another half hour. Five minutes later the food arrived. They had forgotten about the rice dish we had ordered for our small child but by now we were really pressed for time. For sind reason the shrimp dish arrived as two identical plates around 10 minutes apart. The food itself was ok. Not great but not terrible neither. The staff seemed disinterest and unorganized. It's a great location but the service was very poor. Probably a good place to have a coffee but if you're looking for food or have plans for the rest of the day, you should probably keep looking.
