The veg... read more Apfelgold has, according to some people, the best vegan apple cumble pie in Switzerland and even in the world. Personally, I wouldn't be so dithyrambic. The vegan apple crumble pie was indeed delicious, but didn't blow my taste buds out. The coffee shop and staff are lovely and it's definitely hype place to have plant-based milk/drink.

It was my first visit to apple gold, I heard that the cakes are delicious and that is absolutely true, but before I customers, each of us is a person, and I saw how... she treats a person and I decided to go immediately and never back. A woman took only a glass of water and went on a table, a man (I guess the owner) began to argue with her I could not catch all the details as I did not fluent in Swiss German, but the general meaning was that it was a problem that the woman sat only with a glass of water that was probably free. This woman was ashamed and angry and went. After that, this man went to the kitchen and talked about this matter with one of the waiters I am less sure about the content of this conversation, but it was loud enough that I could hear it and I could consume the verb again. Now I understand that you should pay to sit at a bar, but there are thousands of other polite ways to express this concept instead of meeting a person and somehow leaving them. I'll never visit such a place again, no matter how good the food is. For a place that had a flair of alternative environment, with ads about local businesses, local ingredients, etc., I was negatively surprised how capitalist it was!

The coffee is just as delicious and in the second half of the week it is possible to go over too little known Swiss wines with Sara de Giorgi. Although the café is family-friendly, it is quite quiet. Do not expect the hosts to be overwhelming, but they are friendly and passionate about their products.
