Server was rude out of reasons. Seems like her personal problems. However the manner the aged woman carried wasn’t proper as a server at all. Find no reason to recommend this place. We don’t eat only to eat.
Located in Nikolaiviertel very close to the Rotes Rathaus, although outside the central and most touristic bud (in fact we find it by chance), this small gasthaus offers typical German food, and, even better, Berliner, to which we can accompany with one, perhaps scarce, good selection of beers, both blonde and dark, with a wide dining schedule, from 12.00 to 23.00. The fame of his viandas, like the name, comes from afar, and already in 1672 he spoke in Berlin of the rib, although he was not in his current location. Plates such as the cooked coke, with peas, cabbage salad and cooked potatoes; deer goulasch with red cabbage and potato meat; roasted codillo with spinach and fries will give you energy for the whole day. The letter is found in Spanish, imaginative that yes, so you will have no problems when choosing. In addition, the staff is sympathetic and willing to make a hole in the tables or at the large table that occupies the center of the premises, also allows the tertulia after the meal, which is appreciated. The menu is filled with blunt dishes such as codillo, roasted pig or ribs. I don't remember a sandwich as rich as this one! The site is small, set with dozens of things on the walls and on the bar. Very singular. There was a young boy, the owner's son, very kind that gives English great if the German gets stuck. And besides, just around the block there are very nice alleyways, they look like storytelling, which come very well to lower the food a bit.
