The table we got was close to the bar which was ideal as it w... read more After a recommendation from the hotel concierge, we made a booking for Zaza for adults, children). The table we got was close to the bar which was ideal as it was away from the main part of the restaurant. We ordered two...large euro mixed sushi platters, some soups and a few other bits and pieces. Unfortunately, it took over minutes from our order for our food to hit the table, with nothing in between, meant it was a long wait for the kids. Naturally, being restrained in their seats for over an hour with no food or entertainment, the kids got bored, but we kept them in line. Nevertheless, when one of the kids accidentally broke a water glass, it was all our fault and we were told by the restaurant staff to keep look after our kids. The breakage was a simple accident and nothing more but it was the tone of the message that was disturbing from any restaurant. There was never an apology for the delay of service. There was a happy hour for our cocktails from each day, which was an added bonus. The restaurant is a short walk from the U-bahn and there appeared to be plenty of parking. When the food eventually did arrive, it was great, some of the best sushi we have had around and it was devoured by all of us, we barely had a chance to eat any as the kids all launched in.

Well,we all beg to differ with him from and American(U.S) point ofv iew and well-traveled people at that. Althought the service was excellent,...the food plentiful we were not impressed. Stewed and tasteless andfried and too heavy. Potatoes, gravy, pork, etc. But they were lovely to us.

The sushi is very delicious and fresh and the dim sum can also be recommended. I have visit Berlin twice the last years...and both times I went to ZAZA. There is lots of bars around in Prenzlabur berg, but this is the best place when it come to the combo of sushi and cocktails and it is cheap daily happy hour :
