Wir hatten in d... read more Im Bayrischen Viertel gibt es ja nicht viel Neues in Sachen Restaurants, da schauten wir ganz besonders auf Details wenn sich dann doch was tut. Wir hatten in der Presse vom Wolf&Eber gehört und haben es jetzt getestet. Die syrischen Gerichte sind nicht schlecht (Wir hatten ein Ragout, toll orientalisch gewürzt und mit saftigem Reis), vor Allem aber die authentischen "mäkischen" Speisen haben uns überzeugt. In Zeiten wo alle immer mit noch verrückteren Dekos die Gerichte verschleiern, merkte man hier die hochwertigen Zutaten. Der märkische Salat mit Wildsteak klang simpel, war aber ein geschmackliche Sensation.Zum Dessert: luxuriöser Käse mit passendem Wein.Preis: nicht ganz billig aber der Qualität entsprechend.Personal: die blonde Dame war sehr zuvorkommend und hatte Kenntnis von Weinen, was man in Berlin ja nicht mehr so oft erlebt. Very nice and professional service, but first the chef was out to get groceries that had been missing from the scheduled delivery, then the large mezze plate was only so-so (excellent muhammarah but pretty boring hummus and tabbuleh), 3 main dishes were unavailable out of an already small menu, and the lemon chicken was entirely disappointing: the meat dry, no hint of lemon in the taste and the promised raisins and cashews also missing from the rice. Dry and boring overall. The dessert -- knafeh -- was nice and the portion huge (too big for one), the best part of an overall disappointing meal given the substantial price tag of 70€ for two including a small glass of wine each, a bottle of water and a soft drink each.
