Such a lovely and peaceful place right next to busy shopping street. You can eat and drink in garden or go inside villa. Fantastic vegan hamburger and fries, good vine and coffee and tasty desert cake. Go and take a while in peace View all feedback.
What Helga Gerlach doesn't like about Café Im Literaturhaus Wintergarten:
Don’t go there in busy hours. We went for lunch. Had to wait more than minutes for a table. The waitresses took no notice of us. Every one on his own. Some people just bypassed us, a feeling of a jungle. When we tried...to “catch” a table the waitress said it was reserved and let us sit only after an argument. Then we asked for coffee and apple strudel. The strudel came min. after we finished the coffee. Asked for a... View all feedback.
The café is really located in a beautiful garden near the quirky KuDamm. That's why I'm always here to relax. However, prices are so terrible that I only want to drink something there, and that is now also uncertain. Unfortunately, the service is only moderate.
After a long time, I was back in Literaturcafé a few days ago. Since the weather was pleasant, we could sit in the garden. That's beautiful, of course. Just a few meters from the Kurfürstendamm you sit in a well maintained green complex on classic = wooden uncomfortable) old garden chairs at the same tables, large screens keep the sun off and attentive waiters take care of themselves. The view goes from the garden over the street on beautiful stucco facades and a green firewall. Very nice. But the quality of the enjoyed food was quite modest. There were no herbs in Nuremberg sausages, but potato salad and poppy bread... Hmmm. We are in Berlin, but the knowledge of this Franconian speciality is very high here. My companion had a ginger limonade. It was very delicious. My ice cream coffee was big, but not very cold and would have tolerated a larger amount of ice. The price of 4.50 € was also due to the location of the café and not the quality of the offer. Conclusion: If you want to stay in a small, green and well maintained complex in the middle of the city and meet or discuss, you are well resolved in the Literaturcafé. The ambience is very pleasant. You can eat better elsewhere.
The café in the Literaturhaus is located in a beautiful garden in one of the beautiful corners of the KuDamm. In summer a dream in the middle of the city and still quiet sitting in a garden almost so enticed. A rest of the oasis in the lively city. The service is well recommended, but food and drinks.
Very nice place with tables in the tuggedaway garden in the middle og Berlin. Great coffee and very nice brunch options. Highly recommendable
It lacked vegan options.. coffee was average. Soymilk was available, but I can't recommend it. No vegan pies available either
