This place is a vibe. Exactly what I expected out of a night at a Berlin club. So solid dubstep that went until 5am, when the sun came up. Had a blast.

I was all excited to go to the He, She, They event in Berlin. He, She, They 's statement is A place without prejudice for people to be people I have been to the He, She, They events in London and Bristol and had a smashing time and felt very inclusive. I arrived right before opening at the Watergate Club and the bouncer asked if I was alone. I said yes. Then they told me to go down the stairs and leave. I went to Berlin just got the He, She, They event and it was very sad they denied me entry. It 's hard enough to get dressed and go out alone and then to be rejected just because you are alone. I know it 's a nightclub business but if He, She , They really want to stick to their principles they should find a new more inclusive venue in Berlin or get the club to change its policies. I realize this stuff happens all the time in Berlin , often for gender ratios. I think this is discriminatory and if Berlin wants to be a true global city they should crack down on this mean behavior.

Great sound, amazing line up, friendly bouncers (I know it's crazy) und no picture policy. If you're a fan of shuffle you will meet many talented dancers here. I didn't feel very comfortable because the overall crowd was not as friendly and engaging as I know from other clubs. People push you aside instead of asking you to step aside. Many people just seem to be here for the sake of being seen, frat boys getting drunk and acting poorly. It's getting better after 4:00 AM though. Not my favourite club but the big window front and the splendid view at the spree at sunrise is really something. I might come back if a dj i like is playing but otherwise I don't mind missing out.

With Berghain being closed and only spending a few days in Berlin, nightlife had to be done to complete an expansive 48 hours of art and culture. Lucky for us, Watergate was a five minute walk from our hotel and the perfect compromise. They're open from midnight to 10am (on a Tuesday), and wow--these people know how to party. My group and I got there around 1am and were easily the first guests in attendance. The dance floor didn't start filling up until 4:00am, and my guess is that patrons really did party until closing time, well after most corporate employees have been in their offices for two hours. It's wild. Watergate is right on the water, and it's nice to be able to escape the club for an outdoor hang on the patio that abuts the riverbank. Obviously this is a feature that works in the summer, not so much when winter sets in. Overall, a very fun way to break my own social norms and experience life the way Berliners do.

Came on a Saturday night. Not sure if this was just bad luck, but wasn't really the biggest fan of this place. The music wasn't as good as I'd heard in the other Berlin places. Also the club itself wasn't that special... Pretty similar to a club you'd get in any big city (although I loved the lights on the ceiling of the main floor). Didn't really feel like a cool Berlin place. They don't seem to be very strict at the door. The club was essentially full of tourists. Lots of girls in dresses and heels (which is quite inappropriate for this kind of joint). I'd say if you can only pick a few clubs to visit in Berlin, skip this place. We ended up leaving around 4ish and heading to Berghain for a much better experience.
