They are a little bit pricier than the normal lunch around Kotti/Oranienplatz but the Ambiente is also a little bit different. Located in a nice inner courtyard with tables in- and outside. Often good coffee (depending on the Barista) and better than ok food. Love their burgers...

It is located insid... read more For my folding map BertaBerlin, I visit many hidden gems and Hotspots of Berlin, But I can say Vabrique is a very good restaurant for Lunch. It is located inside of a former valve factory on Ritterstraße in Kreuzberg. The restaurant focuses on lunch – with a daily changing menu of two dishes, one of them vegetarian. If you need lunch, this is the place.

Many of the... read more I have been to Berlin many times, and aside from the partying, the history and mix of people, it never seizes to amaze me how creative everyone is. Many of the coolest places are slightly hidden from your classic store front locations, Vabrique is definitely one of those spots. I was pulled into this amazing cafe by the charm of the big brick building and the graffiti outside. Once i entered into the plaza, I felt as though I was a Berliner...surely only the locals go here. Inside, the mood is comfortable and laid back. People seemed casual, some were working on their laptops (probably designing some startup) and others were just sipping on their cappuccinos. The menu offered a daily special for each day of the week, and the food was both presented beautifully and tasted delicious. You can see into the kitchen as the cook prepares the meal as well, which of course adds to the vibe. Next time Im in Berlin, I will for sure be going back. Thanks !

The prices are a bit higher than average (8-10 EUR per lunch), but the food worth every cent you spend on it. Great quality, unusual ingredients combinations and nice presentation. That's a restaurant level! Was already 3 times here for lunch - always surprise, always inspiring!
