I saw this... read more As a solo female traveller I'm always a bit careful eating out, nobody wants to feel awkward somewhere and eating can be a challenge in that respect! I saw this place highly recommended and decided to give it a shot.From the second I walked in I didn't feel uncomfortable, I felt very welcome in fact. It was pretty quiet but the service was friendly, relaxed and efficient. I was given time to choose and my order came in about ten minutes.Be aware! There is A LOT of food on the plate! Now this will never in my lifetime be a bad thing but I couldn't quite manage it all. So make sure you are hungry! The chips were delicious and my burger, well. It was fabulous. Bigger than I expected, I think it was called dirty harry or something. Two huge burgers and extras. They even ask how you want it cooked, like steak! But yes, the burgers are awesome.The only downside here really is the price. My plate of food was 13 Euro. It's not fair really to complain about the price as it's clear before you order. But I should imagine with drinks, desserts etc it could add up. Then again I am eating out so again I shouldn't complain but maybe something to be aware of.All in all, the food, service and atmosphere was top notch and a solo traveller should feel happy sitting down to eat here.

Unfortunately, that wasn't to be th... read more I had had nice meals at The Bird's now-closed Kreuzberg location, so expected something decent from this newer (?) location. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be the case.The menu closely follows the traditional BBQ restaurant template while also offering the same range of hamburgers you might know from their other locations. I had a bacon & cheddar hamburger, my two friends the three-meat plate and pulled pork plate, respectively. I asked for my hamburger medium-rare; it was more medium-well. The meat was reasonably tasty but I found the hamburger to be a little lumpy and quickly broke into big chunks as I worked through it. The pulled pork was fatty and lumpy, and looked more sliced than 'pulled'. The brisket was good although the ribs were also tough and not particularly tender. The fries were good enough.Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the other staff interaction I had was less pleasant. On asking if the head waiter/manager (?) could close the front door of the restaurant - it was a cool evening and there was a breeze blowing right through the restaurant - I was met with a quizzical look and series of questions why I wanted it closed and if I was indeed really cold. After this bizarre and almost confrontational exchange, the door was finally reluctantly closed. You can certainly get better - and cheaper - hamburgers in Berlin. I'm not an expert on the BBQ restaurants in the city, but I've enjoyed much better BBQ food in Markthalle IX in Kreuzberg. For 24 euros for the 3-meat plate and well over 10 euros for the pulled pork plate, you could do much better. I wouldn't recommend thsi restaurant.

Burn your mouth is an understatement, it is that hot. I meant HOT,HOT,HOT. Mind you if you can‘t bear the extreme spicy hot stuff, you need to order the mild ones.
