We tried to make a reservation here before we came to Berlin, but had no success getting through. We stumbled upon this place by chance, not knowing that this was the place we had tried to make a reservation. We had a wonderful time and...the manager could not have been nicer to us. The food was fabulous. It is a cozy and quirky restaurant, filled mostly with Germans and great for people watching. It is a cash only r... View all feedback.
The only reason that didnt gave 4 is that they dont accept international cards but only German. Apart from that the environment is really nice the service is good and the food quite tasty.
Fantastic South-West German dishes (Black Forest) : rich and tasty. Barely leaving room for the great dessert : Kaiserschmarn (a sort of thick pancake) with a bit of ice cream ! Expensive for Berlin.
Serve in a super slow way, and the sfuff just himself do everything (maybe earn all the money? . Food (fried pork is low quality, not worty of time and money. Highly not recommended.
My wife and I found this little local restaurant while exploring Berlin. The food was delicious and the portions were more than generous. I had a pork schnitzel, potatoes and cucumber salad and my wife had the spinach gnocchi and potatoes soup. We both enjoyed...our meals very much. We also had couple of local beers. The place had people coming in all the time which is an indication of its popularity. Cash only.
Came here on my first trip to Berlin Sausage salad to start was average, the spätzle sausages and lentils for the main was excellent though. Service really let things down, no warmth or friendliness. Just put food down and that was it. Would if liked...to have tried dessert but didn’t feel very welcome
