The food is good, and the prices are relatively reasonable. You can go any time of day for breakfast, lunch, a drink, coffee and cake, or dinner. This café has it all!

Over all this time, it has remained true to it... read more I've known the Schwarze Café for about 40 years. Whenever I'm in Berlin, it's a go-to spot—a cherished tradition. Over all this time, it has remained true to its style and retained its unique atmosphere. Unassuming from the outside, unchanged inside for decades, it's a place I enjoy going for breakfast at any time of day (okay, maybe not in the afternoon or evening). They offer a good selection, from simple to opulent, at fair prices. The service is excellent.
