Was Anonym at Schiller-Klause a mag?
I came to this place just because it was just around the corner from Schiller theater and I was there to see a performance. Such a cozy lovely place with very good buffet food for a very low price and nice atmosphere. Lovely staff! Some of the opera singers from the performance came there too to have a beer or to eat after the performance. I will go back when in Berlin! View all feedback.

What a lovely little place. Such a pity we only found it before the opera and therefore had already eaten. However, we had great coffee and the sweets and chocolates on the table were a great touch.

Tucked away just around the corner from the Schiller Theatre(approx 3 minutes walk)is this delightful cozy and welcoming cafe/bar. They offer a lovely buffet consisting of variety of meats , breads, potatoes, cold salads, variety of condiments and at least 2 choices of dessert---also the soup on the night we ate there was a very hearty goulash soup delicious and hearty--literally a meal in itself---the whole buffet was a great deal at around 7.50 Euros. Our meal was topped off by some deliciously ice cold dark German beer. The cafe is not big inside but I think this adds to the atmosphere---there is also seating outside. The service is fast and efficient and not at all intrusive. On one of our visits we were thrilled to see the leading tenor who had just sung Parsifal walk into the cafe accompanied by much applause. He was also kind enough to sign our programs. :) All the staff and the owner are very friendly and welcoming and will gladly call a taxi for you at the end of your visit. The cafe opens around 4pm daily and I think closes at midnight?---we also have such a great time every visit that we usually stay till at least 11.30pm. There are U-Bahn stations a short walk away Savigny-Platz and Ernst-Reuter with excellent transport links to the rest of Berlin.Every time I visit either the Schiller Theatre or the Deutsche Opera(15min walk away) this is my favorite place to eat.:) Although I have always eaten there with friends I would have no qualms in dining here as a solo female traveller.

The perfect neighbourhood pub. This is the place to go if you're hungry, thirsty and have a tight budget. Great service and a very comfy atmosphere.

The food service was limited to a buffet that at 21:00 was looking for wear. The headmaster reminds me of my old German language teacher, definitely not nonsense. Best for beer or coffee, especially after a show.

Schillerklause is a typical German restaurant. Many artists at the Schiller Theater went here before you. You will find Schillerklause in the Schillerstreet on the back of the theatre, a side street of Bismarckstraße. After 17.00 hours you can eat for € 7.90 as you like from the plates in the restaurant. Enjoy it with a good glass of wine or a beer.
