Sasaya is a simple and yet traditional sushi restaurant run by Japanese people who really seem to enjoy what they do! The sushi and all the other Japanese dishes that they offer are just fabulous and the service is perfect. Excellent prices! Highly recommended

Fantastic Sushi place with great quality and reasonable prices! Great sushi chef and super nice team! Never been disappointed. Great fresh sushi, New York style and traditional sushi plus a lot of great modern appetizers. Perfect place for a great evening!

Top fish quality. The operators also make the heart of any Japanese lover beat faster! Prices are reasonable. Drinks should be calculated at about 40€.

The best sushi in Berlin. Vety affordable for the quality they offer! Great service, kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Sasaya boasts one of the best sushi masters in all of Germany. We live in Berlin and have frequented top-notch Japanese sushi restaurants in Düsseldorf, Munich, and Hamburg over many years. Berlin is incredibly fortunate to have a sushi master of this caliber behind the counter at Sasaya. His nigiri are undoubtedly among the best you can enjoy in Germany. On a Friday evening, December 12th, we had the pleasure of experiencing several outstanding nigiri: Hirame (Turbot – delicate and elegantly sweet, with a firm texture and a subtle, pleasant tension. Exceptionally fresh and remarkably clear in flavor. Saba (Mackerel – perfectly lightly salted and carefully cured, with a delicate acidity, succulent richness, and the characteristic, complex mackerel flavor. Hamachi Yellowtail – winter is the ideal season for yellowtail. The sushi master cuts the fish with great artisanal precision: slightly thicker in the middle, tapering gently towards the ends. A single bite reveals the perfect balance between delicate fat and clear, fresh flavor – unforgettable. Chū-Toro (middle tuna belly – please take a look at the photo! Beautiful, practically shimmering. You just have to put it in your mouth and enjoy. A taste that's almost indescribable – you have to experience it for yourself. (Even better than what I ate in Düsseldorf! And let's not forget the shari – the sushi rice. The size, texture, and fluffiness of the rice in the nigiri are perfectly balanced and form an essential basis for making nigiri sushi truly delicious. Many thanks to the entire Sasaya team for the consistently excellent, Japanese-inspired service. Great praise for the sushi master – a real asset to Berlin.
