Been here every summer since 2008. I can feel the euphoria even thinking this place. Staff is friendly, environment is inspiring with nu-jazz backround music, you can watch and be mesmerised by chefs knifeskills and the food is unbeliable good!
Fantastic Sushi place with great quality and reasonable prices! Great sushi chef and super nice team! Never been disappointed. Great fresh sushi, New York style and traditional sushi plus a lot of great modern appetizers. Perfect place for a great evening!
I went there with my gf on a Friday night, the place was very crowded which led me to believe it would be great, as back where I'm from I can't recall such a long waiting time for eating sushi - more than half an hour. We ordered the chef nigiri (12 pieces), the traditional nigiri (18 pieces) and the dragon roll.It was all pretty average, nothing that would make me come back here.
There was a lovely buzz and the chefs and waitresses were all Japanese, which added a sense of authenticity to the place. We ordered small plates of prawn tempura, scallop and tofu dumpling and grilled octopus to share. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. It was fascinating to watch the sushi chef work deftly and quickly to order. The sashimi platter we ordered was so fresh the fish melted in the mouth. The only downside to the food was the Californian rolls we ordered. The rice seemed slightly overcooked and had a slightly mushy texture. The biggest surprise was the bill. Having eaten like kings all night, the bill was extremely reasonable. All in all, if we were to visit Berlin again, we’d make a beeline for this restaurant. It was an authentic Japanese food experience with great service and atmosphere.
