NOTE: Sm... read more We visited this place place twice in the last months, because it used to have the best drinks, incredible service and was kind of hidden from tourists. NOTE: Smoking is allowed in this bar, which means it is better to hang your coats outside in the front room with that incredibly friendly wardrobe guy (who is always friendly, nice, smiling, chilled and always answers all questions you have in a very friendly manner please don't forget to tip him, he deserves it! SERVICE: We had the same waiter twice. First time: It took him 15 minutes in a normally filled bar space to come to take our orders. 15 minutes later he returned and asked which drinks we ordered again, and 30 40 minutes later after that, we finally had our drinks (depending on if you ordered a normal beer, alcohol free drink, or a normal cocktail . Second time: The bar was half empty with empty seats /tables and half empty bar. It took him 45(! minutes to bring 4 easy cocktails, whereas the couple next to us, who came in and ordered after us got their drinks within 10 minutes. We had to ask for our drinks, while the barkeepers and waiters were chatting at the bar with their friends or other guests and were certainly not mixing drinks. DRINKS: Too sweet, watery (since they came out late , not what you expect from a place that Mixology recommended in the past. POSITIVE: The DJ on one evening (a gentleman who was chain smoking was playing really, really nice music solely with 7inches, and just to hear him play, was saving the evening mood of us. BUT. Since the waiter and bartenders and drinks were really not worth it, this was the last time we went there to throw away money in a place where you ruin your clothes and have to wait for 45 minutes to get mediocre drinks. Mixology should rate their service and try their cocktails again.

We could s... read more My husband and I popped in to Reingold for a couple of cocktails on a friday night. We found the bar staff generally unfriendly with one exception! . We could see that they were busy, but it was at least 10mins before they even acknowledged that we were standing at the bar! One member of staff even wagged his finger at me theatrically when I went to sit down at a table ! unaware that it had been reserved it had no sign on the table . I had a couple of virgin cocktails, but the first was way too sweet the speck . The Joker, a basil and pineapple cocktail was really good. Coming from London we also struggled with the very smoky air. We actually only saw two people smoking, so I wonder if they could improve their air-con!
