I mean, it is a ste... read more The meal started off well. The only bump at the beginning of the our visit was that the waiter did not ask us how we wanted our meat cooked. I mean, it is a steak house. This is the first thing they should ask!The real problems however started when we got our bill. Firstly the waiter wanted us to pay immediately. He did not leave and come back a few minutes later when we had sorted out the money. He hovered over the table waiting for us to hopefully pay ASAP.One reason we had gone to the restaurant was that they had the "Visa/MasterCard/Maestro" credit card symbols on the door. When it came time to pay I brought out my card but the waiter said "We don't take any cards here." Fortunately there was a bank across the street so I walked over and got out cash to pay the bill.When I came back my wife let me know that there was a problem with the bill. The waiter had charged us for wine that was more expensive than we had ordered. My wife let the waiter know that he had overcharged us and asked for a new bill. The waiter said "I know I overcharged you. I entered the wrong wine order but I cannot give you a new bill."Never once did he offer to give a new bill or informally tell us to just pay less than the original sum and the fact that he already knew the bill was wrong and never once said so made me think that he was trying to rip us off.The cherry on the cake was that he offered free schnapps but then did not bring them when we pointed out the wrong total on the bill.Sadly we will not be returning here. Dishonest service and no apologies for it being so and no acceptance of credit cards despite having the visa/mastercard//maestro symbols on the door made for an unpleasant end to dinner .
