In general after a countless good restaurant in the last months I had almost left the hope to get a bad one again. but at some point the day of truth comes, and sometimes there are so small things that come together and create a whole shell image. the “Petrocelli” is located in berlin mitte on the torstraße and yet a little outside the big trubels. a couple of years ago, I'm looking through the opposite. There were also two higher class restaurants, but at that time they were neither in my price class nor in my taste. So I chose the Italian. the first impression was a big one, so today we were here for the fourth time, although some years have come in between. at this time it was a beautiful Italian cuisine that led me to come back and from which the uplifting but still in the middle fare could not deter me and today? we are greeted first friendly “place them where they want.” and look for a place in only moderately filled restaurant, but only for a short time. quickly the waiter is back and gives us the opportunity to be reserved. no problem for us, but until we leave the restaurant again, our old places are not occupied. To be honest, the chef who lives in the neighbor does not have a joy to sit next to him. What's that for a host? that starts well, I think. Eating is hidden in a desperate big card that today also contains three extra cards that are handwritten on both sides. quickly comes a greeting from the kitchen, just as big as the ones I get alone and is placed between us in the middle. the bruschetta is still great. the remaining food is also very fast at the place. the salat can be eaten, the penne Al’Arrabiata tastes more like noodles with tomato sauce. What's wrong? I'm a very inconclusive thing to think. I remember the map and that there were two penne Al’Arrabiata, actually I wanted to mention the with fresh noodles, well, I must forget to mention. but so crazy Al’Arrabiata I haven’t eaten for a long time, where is the sharp? and I’ve been here before and ordered the same? service is very fast, but somehow also under pressure. I then ask: were the noodles homemade? No, that's not the case with the penne. I read myself in the card, there were two versions, I ask myself inside. but Al’Arrabiata is actually quite sharp, isn’t it? No, it’s just a tomato sauce, but if they had told me I would have made it sharp. what really bothers me at this moment is not going into what I say. my expectations have been disappointed and it is then not helpful to realize that responsibility for me would have been the service if I wanted to have fresh noodles or not, or it should have become clear to him now that the card is very confusing and I have never eaten such slept Al’Arrabiata. I also have no desire to argue with me and with a “I’m sorry, I’m going to go to the kitchen, maybe it was our mistake”, would probably have done everything for me from the world. but so, maybe the service can't do anything to get so little on us. I've got the impression, it's panic that I'm asking. which can be in the mood in the restaurant because we testify how the cook sends a hired to the house. the house sends and the previous pauses run so that the guests come well, as it becomes loud, all well visible and doors bang and it is not the service that offers for the radau here. No matter what the workers do, a clarification takes place under four eyes, so much cook must be. to loud Italian dudel music, can't fail anything here, and otherwise? Of course I'm upset and know we probably don't come back. it was easy to send too many small things away from the place, because the cook wants it so, disappointed expectations while eating, bad communication with the service, a cook, the choleral with its set, which come together here and a good glass red wine simply not enough. we have no desire to eat with a chef who is so busy with his fellow human beings. we left the evening during a walk through the night, and as the berliner art week is straight, also some smaller galleries on and on foot and red wine then again have a careless bed chair.
