What Anonym dislikes about Orlando Berlin Sicilian Food Of Happiness:
Went there because this restaurant was taking part in the True Italian Festival. Left after 45 minutes since the featured dish the aubergine parmigiana (no doubt already made, as it should have been in order to really taste good) did not arrive. Upon...asking the waitress about the delay, received a very luke warm response, they had to get a catering ready. No so sorry, we have had an emergency or the like. View all feedback.

A new discovery in very popular surroundings: this nice little restaurant/ bar/ shop in a quiet sidestreet of the highly frequented and touristic Gleimstraße offers a small but excellent choice of genuine products from Marche and Sicilia, origins of the nice owners. It is a perfect place for a good wine or handicraft beer from a little Italian high-class-brewery accompanied by delicious plates of self-imported cheeses, salami or a home-made original Piadina. Everything is prepared with love and of best quality. The first time, I came along by coincidence, stopped to see what they´re offering and stayed spontaneously for a wonderful test of cheeses offered with very special marmelades - absolutely delicious! In a neighborhood of many touristic places most of which offering ordinary plates from various countries, this is a little jewel! Orlando has a nice bright interior, but I´m also looking forward to sit outside when summer comes, because the street is quite quiet and relaxed and perfect for a longer break.

So...where to start...me and my friend (she lives right next to this restaurant) went to this tiny place to try their italian food. 1. We got served the last ones even if we arrived the first (among 3 newly arrived) 2. The two other tables...got their food before I GOT it (my friend didnt get her food at the same time when I got it) 3. I got my food, ate it and she still didnt get it and she was told they will need EXTRA 10min for her plate (just to be clear, we both ordered PASTA, nothing special, menu option, no changes), overall we waited at least 15min to be attended, then they needed at least 40-45min just for my pasta to be served, at the end we left and my friend stayed hungry. The waiter (french accent) she even got into an argument with me, coz i was pissed off and she just told me to leave if I didnt like it. NEVER AGAIN! And btw, my pasta with fresh tuna was tasteless and quite a small portion (tuna was just as a decoration)!

I passed this quaint restaurant on a walk home earlier this week and immediately booked in for the following night. Upon arriving the next day to a very warm welcome, unlike other reviews iv'e read, so it was a pleasant supprise. We sat by the...window with shimmering candle light in the glass. Passed menus and a snack of cripsy kale with aoli

It’s getting hard in Berlin to find a restaurant that is not overrun with tourist or the “trendy” crowd. If I wanted that I would stay at home in NY. I found this place on the Creme guides which is a great complement to trip...advisor. It list what the editors think is hot now. This is a Sicilian restaurant in a residential neighborhood of East Berlin. It’s a quaint place with only 6 or so tables inside and 4-5 outside. The owner and chef is usually there and friendly and pleasant. The menu changes frequently but is innovative while still respecting its Sicilian roots. I started with the eggplant caponata. It’s was flavorfull and paired wonderfully with the thick Sicilian bread they brought. My husband had a salad of fennel ,oranges and olives which was crisp and light. I had swordfish in a pistachio crush with mashed potatoes that was very good but slight bland. My husband had a pasta of fusilli pine nuts cherry tomatoes and tuna. It was very good. We end with a cannoli which was tradition -thick sweet and creamy. Overall a lovely dinner
