The sandwich was pretty good but t... read more The food was unbelievably good — we had the hash brown special and the egg and cheese sandwich with spinach instead of bacon. The sandwich was pretty good but the hash browns really stole the show! Recommend getting there earlier rather than later because when we arrived at 12.30 on a Friday we were told there was only one portion of the hash browns left. The cold brew and tonic was delicious, but I did have a gripe with the orange juice. My friend ordered the “fresh OJ” off the menu, but what arrived was a bottle of Fritz Cola. Not a big deal because it was delicious but maybe don’t label it as fresh OJ if it’s not freshly squeezed or made in house. The ambience was plain but quaint, and there was seating outdoors and inside. Card payment possible. The presentation of the cutlery left a bit to want — they were just plopped down on the table with no napkin underneath or anything. Maybe as a recommendation, clean cutlery can just be left on each table in a cup for customers to use, since that seems more in line with the “diner style” vibe of the place anyways. Overall, great food and I am forgiving because this place has opened just recently, so it’ll take time before service is fully smoothed out. Definitely will be coming back to try the fish sandwich next! We opted for the veggie egg and cheese sandwich (perfectly creamy and gooey), the baked fish sandwich (on point nothing to add), potato salad (good, but nothing special) and finished with the quark balls (delish). When we went to use the restroom, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since morning. With better organization and more attention to cleanliness, this place could be much better.
