While our order was... read more We went to Mama Cook on Monday for dinner with family and friends. The ambiance is lovely and fitting. We received a very friendly welcome. While our order was taken very quickly, changes to our order or additional questions about the food and drinks were handled reluctantly. The food was tasty, but unfortunately, being served on cold plates, it cooled down very quickly – which detracted from the enjoyment. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant, especially to visitors to Berlin.

Ordering drinks took almost fifteen... read more We were at Mama Cock on Saturday and unfortunately, the service was very poor. We were seated quickly and received the menu. Ordering drinks took almost fifteen minutes, which I find incomprehensible, as the restaurant wasn't even full. Since the waiter was already there, we ordered our food. The appetizer arrived and was tasty. Three different waiters were constantly running through the aisle, but what really annoyed us was their constant head-down posture, something I've only ever seen in a hardware store. I had to shout quite loudly before I could order another drink. I think that's completely unacceptable in a restaurant; waiters should be paying attention. After asking several times where our food was, they finally realized after 50 minutes that we had apparently been forgotten. Again, we had to shout loudly because, with their heads down, they can't tell if a guest has any further needs. Since we were going to an event and couldn't wait any longer, we canceled our food order and paid. The waiter apologized for what happened, but when we suggested he should be more attentive to customers, he remained silent. It's a shame because we'd been there before and the food was really delicious, which we unfortunately couldn't enjoy this time. The service really needs to be much more attentive to customers. Sadly, we won't be coming back anytime soon.
