The soup, liver, and Wiener Schnitzel as main courses were mediocre at best—simply bad food. When we pointed this out, they apologized, explaining that the head chef was on vacation. A hastily placed dessert didn't improve matters. And a waiter in a vest, with a pencil behind his ear, was quite disconcerting. Where has the excellent service that once existed gone?

I had the flamed goat's cheese as a starter, and the main course was steak, which was fried to perfection and to order. Gladly again…
