Was Fred Marquardt at Loislane a mag?
D... View all feedback.
What Nathan Servais dislikes about Loislane:
We went there for dinner. It was right next to our Airbnb home so we gave a try. The menu includes only four dishes so you don’t have many choices but the two dishes that we had were tasteful and reasonably priced. Also we heard...that they have the best cheesecake in town but we didn’t try it because we arrived there only an hour before the closing time so we didn’t have the time for a dessert.
Nettes kleines Restaurant,Cafe.
Ever heard of Superman? Do you recall his romantic love interest? Well that is the name of one of the most quaint, intimate, and incredible coffee shops in Berlin. Loislane was our go to brunch destination every morning for our daily caffeine and pastry fix. After a long night at one of our favorite clubs (shout out matrix), we are greeted with a smile by the beautiful owner who came to enjoy our company during the week. So much so that she requested a photograph with us (see below). The menu consists of freshly squeezed juice combinations and customized specials. We got an iced coffee every morning and our friend got one with ice cream (a nice touch). Every morning we ordered the Loislane which included an poached egg with a bright yellow yoke that quivered ever so slightly, waiting for us to sink that knife in. The bacon on top was the best cooked pig this side of the Atlantic. It was truly the little things that made the special including a ripe tomato that exploded with flavor, a heaping portion of fresh avocado, and bread that was toasted to perfection. On the days where we didn't have quite the appetite we wished, we always got the homemade chocolate croissants. These were the best croissants we had ever had. The chocolate was absolutely incredible and the pastry that held it together was fluffy, the right about of crunch, and had a wonderful buttery consistency.Loislane is more then just the best coffee shop in Berlin, it is a place where us Americans who generally were treated with disrespect could feel a sense of belonging. After receiving a 60 Euro ticket because of the blasphemous and borderline criminal train system in Berlin, we knew there was only one place where we could go to make us feel whole again. That place is Loislane where you can walk in feeling lost, hopeless, and beaten and then walk out feeling like Superman. This coffee shop will forever be in our hearts. Thank you.
