What Brian F dislikes about Leysieffer:
I am very suspicious of old school candy shops, since candy, especially chocolate, is simply a way better nowadays than the crapper grandparents used to eat. And this place, which is been open since 1907, seems like no exception, as their chocolate truffles look extremely unimpressive. But their little cakes were surprisingly excellent. In the pre-Christmas period it is now a must for me to send to this beautiful little place. The Cleats and Marzipan arteries must not be missed for Christmas.

Those who appreciate the sweets of Leysieffer will feel comfortable in this business. The offer is large and chain-shaped. I have always felt the presentation of confectionery as very appealing. The price-performance ratio is still appropriate. The fourth point is for the building: It is the former Chinese Embassy in the German Empire. This was sold to West Berlin.

And this place, which is been open since 1907, seems like no exception, as their chocolate truffles look extremely unimpressive. But their little cakes were surprisingly excellent. I had a rum ball covered in a hard chocolate shell and surrounded by marzipan which was quite yummy, and an outstanding sour cherry roll, which was like sour cherry pie filling rolled up in layers of a subtle butter cream and chocolate cake. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

Leysieffer is known as one of the best chocolatiers in the world and we used to love this place. Been there with friends yesterday and would have fired the entire staff immediately. Guys, if you hate working there quit and work somewhere else. This place is just to good and too expensive to be ruined by you.
