We... read more This restaurant should be removed from Open Table. They try to scam tourists. This is not the only review to note this. DO NOT VISIT THIS SCAM RESTAURANT!!! We had a good meal that was ruined by a greedy employee trying to pull one over on the tourists. We made a reservation with Open Table. We ate a good meal. There were bumps, but overall it was a solid dining experience. Then the check came, brought by a younger person than our waiter, but still a waiter in the restaurant. He informed me that, The service is not included in the check, and that I could add it on here. He then stood by my side and encouraged me to add a tip of the customary 20-30%. If we were in the u.s. and tipping was part of how wait staff are compensated, I still would have been appalled at a wait person standing over me while I worked out a tip. This is not the u.s., this is Berlin, Germany. Tipping is fine when service is exceptional, it is not mandatory, nor is it expected. DON 'T TRY TO SCAM TOURISTS. WE HAVE THE INTERNET AND WE 'LL TELL THE WHOLE WORLD !! By the way, I lived here for 2.5 years, I know how things work.
