Hakata Sushi - Berlin

It's a very tiny sushi place in Kreuzberg, absolutely no fancy, definitely cheap for the quantity you get. You need to write your own order. Service is a bit slow but the guys who run it are very polite and nice. Sushi is average.
..compared to the abundant sushi-serving restaurants in the region.. Hakata is a small, japanese restaurant, where you have to write down your order in a piece of paper to be able to eat. There was too much wasabi in our sushi, that was covering the flavour of the already too thin-cut fish. The service is friendly but somehow very slow.
Found this gem while strolling around Kreuzberg. Ordered a small sushi menu for a bit over 4€ which was super tasty and fresh. Then got a bowl of udon noodle soup with chicken. It was also really tasty and for a decent price. Would definitely go again!
Although there are a lot of Japanese restaurants around you have to go to this place if you want to enjoy Japanese food made by Japanese people.
A very small, "hole in the wall" restaurant on Oranienstraße near Görlitzer Bahnhof U-bahn station. There's a few seats inside, but we sat outside which is ok in the summer, although the street is quite busy. The area is a bit of a party-area, so if you want to have a quiet dinner, take-away is perhaps the best option in the evening. The ordering process is a bit funny as the waitor asks you to write down what you want on a piece of paper. But it obviously works, as the service is good, quick and attentive. And the sushi is good! In typical Berlin style, the maki rolls are tiny, so it's better to order more pieces than less - a six-piece maki equals a small starter. Also had a udon noodle dish that was really great. Cheap and good!
