With several branches scattered across Europe, the “Gregory” coffee is perhaps the most well-known Greek chain on the continent. In Berlin, one of its restaurants is located in the most central area of the city: the Alexanderplatz. If you are looking for a breakfast site or just to eat a sandwich with fresh ingredients and the best feta cheese, the “Gregory’s” is a good choice. Taking into account the location of the place (you can have breakfast watching the famous TV Tower out the window), prices are quite accessible. In general, it is possible to have breakfast for about 5 euros, including a sandwich and a coffee. In addition, you know that it is an authentic place when the language that is most heard (even more than the German), is precisely the Greek.
The Greeks. Yummy culture, Yummy Islands and very yummy in my tummy desserts. Please order this chocolate cake thingy that looks like a brownie, soaked in syrup. Please go here and look at these Greek men whilst they make your coffee.
Had tea and cake here. Cake was very nice. Best part of the place is that you can see many birds freely moving in the bakery, and sometimes you can catch some beautiful and unique ones too.
I had the opportunity to have breakfast at two Gregory's in Berlin. Here and the one near Checkpoint Charlie. Both were very different, but this was my favourite, both because of the taste and kindness of the employees. The staff at Gregory's at Potsdamer Platz are beating you up.
