Fulilai is without doubt the most authentic Chinese restaurant in Berlin!!! Extensive menu and all the dishes are freshly prepared with an extra dollop of love. It our once a week must have ! Highly recommended: View all feedback.

What Burghard Witt dislikes about Fulilai Original Chinesische Küche:
Do not order stir fried diced chicken with chilli and Sichuan-pepper . Tragedy ! The meat was dry and the level of spiciness was exorbitant and I was nit able to consume my meal . View all feedback.

Very nice staff, the food was realy tasty. It must be a little China in Berlin because 90% of costumers where Chinese.

Feel’s almost like ChinaThis is going to be a long one…Well, every place on earth is unique. One of the things that leave a big impression behind, if not the biggest, is the food we eat and the customs that go along with it.The preparation, the ingredients, the philosophy.Sometimes they are simple and hardly worth any mentioning and sometimes they open our minds, allowing us a glimpse into a culinary world filled with new and miraculous tastes.Having lived in some Countries, I had to make the rather bitter experience of being disappointed when visiting a “foreign” restaurant, to realise that no matter how much one tries, the food is simply not as good as where it originates from.In my experience this is based on three essential factors.Care, products and state of mind. There is no doubt in my mind, that everyone reading this post, has had bad experiences in Restaurants and too often on account of the “managements” lack of care. But even when the service is impeccable, the products taste different because they were cultured differently and under different environmental conditions. When seeking to relive the Mediterranean experience whilst living in; say Wyoming, your brain will demand the flair, the air, the temperatures it has stored from your previous experience.Oh my God, we’re doomed! Not really, but you get the point. To relive the experience, to get as close as possible, to be happy, the owner of the establishment must be someone who cares beyond today’s standards and have the proper and suited staff as well. For me, China is one of the most spectacular places one could ever visit and even more so, to have had the honour of briefly being a member of its society. And whilst the Lao Whai usually goes to restaurants that also have the menu printed in English, I always preferred the different sort of local. Those utterly simple restaurants and cantinas where the workers have their lunches and dinners, as well as the delicious street food. And the diversity has no end!Fulilai is the first Chinese Restaurant that, whilst eating, watching and hearing my surroundings, makes me believe – feel I am in China. My mind fills those minute gaps that say otherwise and creates for the duration of my stay the nearly perfect illusion. The food, the people, the noise (not loud, just Chinese), the scents and the setup. No matter what I order, it is always amazing!Food for other people passes by and I find myself getting very jealous and even more so sad about the fact that I only have one stomach.I could say “you must try the dumplings” JiaoTze or the BaoTze, or the Bibimbap, the lamb skewers, or the Hot Pot…Fact of the matter is, everything tastes simply amazing! All I CAN say is, don’t go there to have a crispy duck, which you can have at any other Chinese restaurant as well.Seven out of ten guests are Chinese.Take a wild shot in the dark and guess why.And now some tips and facts:Wise is the one who thinks ahead and reserves a table…Wise is the one who brings cash (prices are moderate! Dare I say low) …Better off are the ones who come with the cab, or the bus (parking can be a bit of an issue) …If the place is full, a bit of patience is a virtue…They don’t do home delivery, but for anyone lucky enough to live nearby (like myself), be advised, they prepare takeaways.Last words.Enjoy!Wuo Ai Fulilai!Shie-Shie Zhongguo!

Location has changed to Erlenstraße 19, but the taste is still the same: very good authentic Chinese! The set up is simple: four tables around a bar in a souterrain space. Never mind, the food is important and it is great. Best Chinese in Berlin at least that I know with many Chinese customers.
