The new location is bigger and since they opened, they really put a great effort into the atmosphere: Cool, punky, trashy. Although, in terms of food and drinks (and everything else.. it feels like they are just milking a dead cow. The quality of the food is a joke burger bread is dry as a sponge, fries are cold and even the beer tastes like it was poured yesterday. And it 's not cheap at all: entrance fee, food around 15€ per person and toilet fee (I don 't pay that poor non stop smoking guy for NOT cleaning the toilets. And service: Before in Mitte the staff was hard working, fast, cool, helpful....at this new place, it 's the opposite and a complete joke. You see the old guy who is taking empty glasses from the tables more often than the waiters and waitresses. It feels like an amusement park with no staff, you could walk out without paying, and the guy who is organizing the tables is too stoned to care anyway...if he 's even there when you walk out...

It's a huge place the restaurant has large indoor and outdoor seating areas, bands perform on the stage inside, and there's also a tattoo parlour on site. Strangely, the loos are in a separate building outside. We ordered up some cocktails and burgers. I enjoyed my veggie burger, though it was messy to eat, and I had tasty sweet potato fries with it. I loved the spicy mayo on the burger (my husband was much less impressed with it as he'd asked for no sauce on his burger... . The service was a bit iffy. We paid the cover charge and were then left standing for a few minutes waiting to be seated while a member of staff had a phone conversation. He complained that someone else should've shown us to a table. During our meal, two other staff were removing Halloween decorations from around the restaurant and thought it was okay to remove decorations from above and around tables that diners were eating at. The prices are a bit higher than you'll pay elsewhere too, though not too unreasonable. Still, I thought the overall experience was alright (though my OH was left with a hankering to go back to Burgermeister closer to 4 stars than 3. Probably best experienced when there is a band playing!

Now let's switch to the issues: the food is really expensive for Berlin and it can't be explained by the quality of it; we're talking school canteen grade quality. The burger was okay, not much to say about it. You'll find much better stuff nearby at Burgermeister. The worst of all: French fries, clearly frozen industrial material; they charge 6 bucks for a portion of fries and chilli, great margin! If I want frozen food I go to a Dönner or Burger King. Another issue: they charge 2 Euro to enter the site and look into bags like in a club. Officially for the live music. Problem: there was none and if there was any my over priced food should finance it. The home made lemonade is sprite with some added mint and fruits. 7€ for a liter of sprite? Come on. The new White Trash have to get his **** together to live up by the legendary reputation of the previous address. Not going back anytime soon.
